TelePort Cast & Remote

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes the handling of data by TelePort Cast & Remote ("the Extension"). We respect user privacy and do not engage in surveillance or remote tracking.

2. Data Collection and Local Network Operation

The Extension facilitates local media beaming and screen casting from your browser to a TelePort-compatible receiver. All media streams are transmitted directly over your local area network (LAN/Wi-Fi). No media streams, audio buffers, or captured tabs are stored or uploaded to external cloud servers.

3. Permissions Disclosures

• tabCapture & offscreen: Used solely to capture video and audio frames from the selected tab when you explicitly click "Cast", and stream them directly to your receiver.
• tabs: Required to query and identify the active tab that the user wishes to beam or cast.
• storage: Used to locally remember paired devices and preferred casting quality settings on your machine.
• contextMenus: Enables quick "Beam to TelePort" shortcut right-click options on links and pages.

4. Third-Party Sharing and Analytics

The Extension does not sell, license, share, or transfer any user data, media content, or telemetry to third-party advertisers or data brokers.
